Are you up for a challenge?
If you’re anything like Sir Peter Blake, one of our greatest adventurers, environmentalists and leaders, the answer will be YES! Dream big and be proud!
Sir Peter Blake was one of our greatest New Zealanders. He loved adventure, but he loved our environment more and he led by example. He literally went to the ends of the earth and around the globe to bring attention to our need to look after the world we live in. And now its our turn.
So join us for the Red Socks Challenge! It’s pretty simple really. We’re asking you to raise money to continue Sir Peter’s legacy by setting yourself a challenge and asking people to support you by making a donation to the Sir Peter Blake Trust in support. And we’d love you to wear your lucky Red Socks while you do it!
Red Socks Day is on 7th July, but you can complete your event anytime between now and the end of July.
You can go solo, or get some friends together to make up a Red Socks Challenge Team. The sky’s the limit when it comes to what you could do. You could jump out of a plane, or jump off the sky tower; shave your head, or take up the 10,000 step challenge for a month. It’s your challenge so choose something that means something to you. If you’re a bit stuck, there are loads more ideas here to give you a bit of inspiration.
The money you raise will go towards inspiring New Zealanders to lead the way in looking after our natural environment; to identify new and innovative solutions to the challenges we face and go forward with hope and determination to make a positive change.
If you already have a great idea, what are you waiting for? Register your Red Sock Challenge today.
